The first and second seasons of Family Guy's were made in 1999. It was then cancelled which caused an eruption of protest from loyal fans which forced FOX to reverse their decision and the making of a third season, after which it was cancelled again to the fans disbelief. Reruns on Adult Swim drove interest in the show up, and the DVD releases did quite well, selling over 2.2 million copies in one year which renewed network interest. Family Guy returned to production in 2004, making two more seasons (for a total of five) and a straight to DVD movie, Stevie Griffin: The Untold Story. The sixth season began airing in autumn 2007, with a seventh season scheduled to air in the autumn of 2008. In addition, Family Guy went into syndication in autumn 2007.
Family guy is one funny cartoon. Peter Griffin is the funniest character I have ever seen since Homer Simpson first appeared on our screens in 1987. I think Homer and Peter would make great friends as they both have similar interests. When there not spending time with their families, they both enjoy a lot of cold beers after a hard days work (?) at the local bar with friends.
